What Documents are required to retrieve my Lost Aadhar UID/EID?
The Aadhar online process for lost information retrieval won’t require any kind of document from their applicants. The only thing you need to provide are your personal and contact details, which include your current email address and phone number; these should be the same details you already provided in the Aadhar registration process.
Do I have to pay any fee to retrieve my lost Aadhar number?
The answer to this is no. Because the process is online and self-service, every process on the UIDAI website is free of cost, so you won’t have to pay any fee.
What is a Duplicate Aadhar e-card?
If you ever lose your Aadhar card, you can download a password-protected digital copy of your card by going through the process and providing all of the required details. The Aadhar system saves a copy of your card in case you ever need to retrieve it, that way you won’t have to worry about re-enrolling if you ever lose your card.
Can I use my e-Aadhar everywhere?
The Aadhar digital copy you download is as valid as your original card, which means you will be able to use your copy for any kind of process that requires authentication.
Where can I Download a Duplicate of my Aadhar Card?

What kind of software do I need to open the digital copy of my Aadhar card?
When you go through the process to retrieve a digital copy of your Aadhar card, the copy will be downloaded in PDF format. This means you’ll need software to open the PDF file and be able to view it and print it. We recommend you download Adobe Reader because it’s very intuitive and easy to use.
What is the password to unlock the digital copy of my Aadhar card?
The digital copy of your Aadhar card is password-protected and the password is a combination of the first four letters of your name in capital letters and your year of birth, so it should look something like this: “JHON
